Winter is just around the corner, make your truck winter ready.
Winter is just around the corner. To ensure the longevity of your Horse Truck, it’s essential to make it winter-ready and prevent issues like burst pipes when temperatures drop below freezing.
Here are our winter tips:
- Keep the truck connected to shore power to prevent the batteries from draining and to allow the heating system to stay on low.
- Ensure the fuel tank is always more than ¼ full to keep the auxiliary heater running. If the fuel level drops below this point, the heater will stop functioning.
- Regularly check the truck for power outages, especially if it’s stationary for long periods.
- Drain and flush the water systems in time. Don’t forget to remove the glass/filters from the water pump and let the water drain completely. Instructions for this can be found in the truck’s manual.
- Use antifreeze windshield washer fluid if your current washer fluid isn’t frost-resistant.
